1. Introduction
This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Project Management Solutions Ltd (“PMS MK”) is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains.
2. Our Business
PMS MK is a UK-based project and programme management consultancy providing services to clients across the education and charity sectors in the South and East Midlands regions. We employ two Company Directors and work with a variety of suppliers and subcontractors.
3. Our Policy
We have a zero-tolerance stance on forced labour, human trafficking, child labour, and other forms of modern slavery. This policy applies to all PMS MK employees, contractors, suppliers, and business partners.
4. Organisational Responsibility
The Company Directors oversee compliance with the Modern Slavery Act. The Company Secretary / Director is responsible for implementing and reviewing this statement biennially. All staff are expected to act with integrity and report any concerns through our whistleblowing procedure.
5. Risk Assessment & Due Diligence
We have identified the procurement of office services, consultancy subcontractors, and overseas suppliers as potential areas of risk. PMS MK conducts due diligence on all new suppliers, including right-to-work checks, modern slavery questionnaires, and policy reviews. If PMS MK works with higher-risk suppliers (e.g., those based overseas or in labour-intensive industries), they will be subject to more frequent reviews and, where appropriate, site audits.
6. Training & Awareness
Anti-modern slavery training is provided to all staff. New employees are made aware of relevant policies during induction, and refresher communications and training are issued annually.
7. Key Performance Indicators
- 100% of high-risk suppliers complete due diligence.
- 100% of procurement and project management staff undergo training annually.
- Zero reported incidents of modern slavery within PMS MK or its supply chains.
8. Effectiveness & Reporting
We review our modern slavery risks biennially, including through supplier audits and surveys. Staff and suppliers may report concerns confidentially through our whistleblowing channels. Any reported incidents will be thoroughly investigated, with appropriate action taken in collaboration with our HR provider.
9. Future Plans
In the coming year, PMS MK will publish this statement on our website and file it officially, as required by UK regulations.
10. Approval
This statement was approved by the Board of Directors of Project Management Solutions Ltd on 7th July 2025. It will be reviewed biennially.
